Nitu’s SSB journey is a powerful example of resilience and self-belief. After facing four consecutive screen-outs and three conference-outs, she finally earned her recommendation through AFCAT 2 2025 from 2 AFSB, Mysuru in her 7th SSB attempt.
Background
Nitu belongs to Rajasthan. She completed her schooling from Army Public School, Sri Ganganagar, graduated from Chandigarh University, and was an NCC Air Wing cadet in Patiala. Coming from a defense family, the desire to serve the nation was deeply rooted in her upbringing.
Why the Armed Forces?
Joining the armed forces had always been Nitu’s childhood dream. Her father serves in the Air Force, while her great-grandfather served in the Army, making her the third generation in her family to aspire to wear the uniform. Growing up in such an environment strengthened her determination to pursue a career in the armed forces.
How R2R Helped
Nitu enrolled in R2R’s complete course, where the Psychology, Interview, and GTO sessions helped her develop a better understanding of the SSB process. She prepared detailed notes during the classes and continued revising them throughout her preparation, even before her seventh attempt.

She also received feedback on her Self Description (SD), which helped her present a more authentic picture of her personality.
What Changed in Her Recommended Attempt?
According to Nitu, the biggest change in her final attempt was learning to trust her own judgment. Instead of trying to overthink every response, she combined the guidance she had received with her natural instincts and answered each task honestly and confidently.
She also shared that one of the toughest parts of her interview was answering questions about her multiple unsuccessful attempts. However, she remained confident, explained her journey with honesty, and treated every question as an opportunity to reflect her growth. Having a supportive group during the SSB also made the experience more positive.
Message for Aspirants
Nitu’s journey proves that repeated failures do not define your potential. Her advice to every aspirant is:
“I faced four screen-outs and three conferences before finally getting recommended. If I can achieve my dream after so many setbacks, anyone can. Believe in yourself, keep improving, and never let failures stop you from moving forward.”
